Moving a fridge

Though it may seem like an easy task, moving a fridge is not all as easy as it may appear. For starters, you cannot out it into a moving box, and most of them don’t have wheels so it’s almost going to be inevitable to have that fridge loaded onto a Buckie or a truck. It doesn’t matter how big your SUV is, it is definitely not going to have the capacity to load this precious item. This is where Vuyani Furniture Transport and Sales comes into the picture, we are a reputable moving company that offers furniture removals and moving services all over the country. We will gladly load your fridge or any other larger items in your home that you need to be transported from one place to another.
Here’s a fact that you might not know that is specific to moving a fridge, it has to be upright at all times to prevent it from getting damaged and you also need to ensure that you leave the fridge off once it has been moved to your new place for at least 3 hours before switching it back on. For this reason, we would strongly advise that you plan your move in due time and refrain from stocking up your fridge with food items that go in the freezer such as meat as it is dangerous for meat to defrosted and re-refrigerated. This means that you might need to grab take-outs on the days leading up to the move or buy fresh produce that you can cook on the day.
If you are requiring relocation services that involve moving a fridge from one province to another, we can offer that service as well. We offer moving services in all major cities like Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg. If you’re moving into a fully furnished house that already has a fridge, you’ll be happy to know that our moving company also buys and sells secondhand furniture and appliances so we’ll be more than happy to buy your fridge. Just send us a clear picture on WhatsApp (078 280 9645) with the price of the fridge and your location.
