Day 365 of 21 days
Today is day 365 of the country’s 21-day lockdown. It sounds so surreal that we have been living in a global pandemic for over a year. It has been such a tough year for the world, but especially for our country. So many people have lost their loved ones, businesses closed, and people lost their jobs. I do not think anyone could have imagined the extent that the pandemic would have changed our lives and the world around us.
It has been hard trying to accept this as the new normal. After the first 21 days, we hoped that maybe after a month things would be back to normal. Then it was series of ‘okay maybe in June’, ‘I am sure by September things will be back to normal’, and ‘2020 just needs to end’.
Social distancing has been our new normal. Which is weird for humans because we are social beings. Life is meant to be lived and enjoyed with those around you, but the pandemic has changed the way we do life. Therefore, it has been so hard to accept this new normal. But even though things are tough, and it has been a hard year always remain strong and resilient. It is always darkest before dawn.
We have all made it through a year of this disruptive pandemic. We have made it to day 365 of 21 days. It is important that we all keep on keeping on and try to recover the countries economy by supporting small business when you can.
